Speedy Weekenders….Here is the info that you need for Speedy Weekend!
Speedy Weekend and Masters Camp July 27-29, 2018
Don’t miss the fun and great skating during the Speedy Weekend 2018! Skating will take place on beautiful McArthur Island. The arena is surrounded by playing fields, a playground, a skateboard park, and paved paths. The camp will be a combination of skating, dryland, inline and classroom sessions. Exact schedules cannot be determined until registrations are received. Qualified coaches will lead the groups throughout the day. Parents of young children are responsible for skate tightening and supervising their own children between sessions. Masters will have their own group.
Events will begin Friday afternoon and finish Sunday afternoon. The weekend will be jam-packed with activities. Our club has some inline equipment that we can share with skaters who don’t have their own, however, in limited quantities. There may be water activities, so please come prepared for water, ice, grass, gym, asphalt, and any type of weather. All groups will have one or more ice sessions per day.
The Masters Group and L2T+ skaters will be doing the Outdoor Challenge Course at Pinantan Lake. It’s about a 20 minute drive from the arena, so we will need to share rides to take everyone up. The course takes 2-3 hours, depending on how good the teamwork is. http://azamisports.com/ For the Fundamentals skaters, Azami will bring the challenge course to McArthur Island, so no travel will be needed.
