Here is what you need to know this week:

Hallowe’en Skate: 

Monday Oct 30th practice will be our Halloween practice. All skaters and coaches are welcome to wear a costume. However, no face masks and the costume must be safe for skating, and all safety equipment must still be worn.

Clothing:

Please check your weekly email for important information on ordering warm-up clothing for your skater in time for Christmas. In order for it to be received in time, the order MUST be placed by Monday, October 29.

Equipment:

The Classic Chill is next weekend – please remember to sharpen skates this week. Also, Shawn/Jodi will be checking blade tips to ensure that they meet the requirements for skating in a competition.

Please remember that safety equipment that belongs to the club (helmets, gloves, goggles, ankle protection, etc) should only be used on a short-term basis. If you need clarification on what items your skater needs, please see Shawn or Jodi. Also, please remember that all items can be purchased from https://www.ilovespeedskating.com/ (discount provided to members of the KLB!)

Fundraising:

Bottle Drives: 

The next bottle drive will be held November 10:

Start time 9:30 and end at 3:30 pm. Meet at 395 Armour Place. Need lots of trucks and trailers as we will not be sorting.  Dress warm and in KLB clothing, please!
