Week of October 29-Nov 4

Kamloops Long BladesWeekly Update

Hello, skaters! Here is what you need to know this week:

Hallowe’en Skate:

Monday Oct 30th practice will be our Halloween practice. All skaters and coaches are welcome to wear a costume. However, no face masks and the costume must be safe for skating, and all safety equipment must still be worn.

Please check your weekly email for important information on ordering warm-up clothing for your skater in time for Christmas. In order for it to be received in time, the order MUST be placed by Monday, October 29.

The Classic Chill is next weekend – please remember to sharpen skates this week. Also, Shawn/Jodi will be checking blade tips to ensure that they meet the requirements for skating in a competition.

Please remember that safety equipment that belongs to the club (helmets, gloves, goggles, ankle protection, etc) should only be used on a short-term basis. If you need clarification on what items your skater needs, please see Shawn or Jodi. Also, please remember that all items can be purchased from https://www.ilovespeedskating.com/ (discount provided to members of the KLB!)
