Congratulations to Rebecca, John and Adam for skating at BC Winter Games this past weekend in Fort St John and to Sylvie and Kris on their races at Western Elite Circuit at the Calgary Olympic Oval.
CANCELLATIONS:
February 27, 2020: NO practice for Blade Buddies, Cheetahs, Roadrunners or Coyotes. Ice scheduled for Garter Snakes and Rattlesnakes only, from 7:30-9:00pm.
March 11, 2020: NO PRACTICE for Garter Snakes, Prickly Pears or Rattlesnakes
The final regular practice of the season for Blade Buddies, Cheetahs, Roadrunners and Coyotes will be March 12.
Additional ice time for Garter Snakes and up will be held on the following dates:
March 17, 2020: 7:30-9:00pm
March 18, 2020: 7:30-9:00pm
March 24, 2020: 7:30-9:00pm
March 25, 2020: 7:30-9:00pm

Team BCSSA will be back in action on March 28-29, 2020 at the Canadian Youth Short Track Championships – West. BCSSA Provincial ST Coach Nicole Garrido will lead the team to Selkirk, Manitoba, and will be assisted by Sylvie Lloyd. All skaters who intend to participate, if qualified, must submit their online Intent to Participate form by 5pm on Sunday March 8th. No late entries can be accepted! Qualification to Team BCSSA @ CYST is based on results from the BC Short Track Championship.

Save-the-date:

Summer Speed and Masters Speed Skating Camp at Calgary Olympic Oval: July 13-18, 2020 Registration will open in February 2020.


Upcoming competitions: 

ILSS Sanctioned Mini-Meet #2 – March 12, 2020 – during practice time. All skaters will be automatically entered. Please let your coach know if your child will not be attending.

BC Short Track Championships – Abbotsford: March 14-15, 2020
